Self-Injury Awareness Day 2019

'Our Story Isn't Over'


If you work with young people, please join us on Self-Injury Awareness Day where we will be launching our new poetry book and showcasing the work of young people from both the Belong Group and the wider Amber Project.

There will be a short piece of theatre and the opportunity to hear from young people and to speak to staff about the services that we offer.

Date:  Friday 1st March

Venue: The Drawing Room, Insole Court, Fairwater Road, Cardiff CF5 2LN

1.00-3.00 pm: Young peoples' showcase, launch of poetry book, theatre performance, practitioner networking and information sharing, 

Light refreshments will be provided.

The venue is accessible by public transport (Cardiff Bus 66 runs from the city centre to Fairwater Road) or parking is available on site.

Any agency or organisation working with young people can refer to The Amber Project (alternatively, young people can self-refer). If you would like to refer a young person, or if you are wondering if a referral would be appropriate; please contact us at the office or download a referral form.

Amber Awareness Talks

We offer short, informal workshops which raise awareness of our work. 

Publications

The project produces a booklet for young people who self-harm, called 'Louder than Words' which is available directly from the project. You can also view the booklet online.
