A drama-based guide for professionals working with young people who self-harm.

Youth Cymru and The Amber Project are working in partnership on this project for young people (aged 12-25) who identify as trans, or are questioning their gender identity, and need support with their emotional well being..

We are currently running two series of creative workshops for young people aged 12-16 and 17-25 these have a friendly, caring and supportive atmosphere, with the option to speak to a counsellor during the session.
The workshops are held on a Thursday evening; the early workshop for young people aged 12-16 takes between 4:30-6:00pm with the older group (17-25) meeting 7:00-8:30 (ish) at The Quaker Meeting House, 43 Charles Street, Cardiff, CF10 2GB.  The next series of workshops begins on 12th September 2019.
If you would like to know more about the project, please contact

Amber Awareness Talks

We offer short, informal workshops which raise awareness of our work.

We are very excited by our new poetry book, this has been written by the young people at The Amber Project and reflects their thoughts, feelings and experiences (see Publications for more details).

The project also produces a booklet for young people who self-harm, called 'Louder than Words' . This is about to be revised and is not currently available in paper form from the project . However, you can still access the old version on-line, just click here.  view the booklet online.

If you would like further information about either of the above, please contact us at the office.
