Welcome to the Amber Project Website

The Amber Project exists to support any young person (aged 14-25) in Cardiff and the surrounding areas who has experience of self-harm.

Please feel free to look around, and if you have any questions or think that we might be able to help, please do contact us. We are available Monday - Friday 9:00-5:00 . Unfortunately the current Coronavirus outbreak has had a huge impact on our services and we are currently unable to take new referrals. However if you get in touch we will take your details and get back to you as soon as we are able to resume normal services. Visit the 'What happens next' section of the About Us page for more details.

We are beginning yet another week of working remotely from home. However the good news is that we are being to prepare for a return to the office !

If you are a young person who accesses the project you should  have been contacted by a support worker. If you are accessing counselling, two of our counsellors (Louise and Rachel) are also offering support during this difficult period; it is not counselling as such but will hopefully provide you with emotional support,

If you currently access 'Amber' and we haven't been in touch, please contact us.

Bored, wondering how to keep busy....

Check out our new pages, What to do when there's nothing to do.

This week (commencing Monday 3rd August) the Wednesday Theatre Workshop, the Late Belong Workshop and Friday Evening Workshop are all running via zoom. We are delighted to announce that we have now received funding to run our theatre group on line and to establish remote music and singing workshops. This is very exciting for us as we remain in lockdown. Watch this space for further details about the groups and the funders .

We are optimistic that over the next few weeks we will be able to start to process referrals that were made to Amber prior to lock down . If you have been referred / or made a referral to the project please do get in touch..
